ENTRO pioneered the internship program in the Nile Basin since 2011; Till now the number of interns reach to 150 interns who were enrolled in 13 different batches; 3 batches under Eastern Nile Planning Model (ENPM) project , 8 batches under Nile Cooperation for Results (NCORE) project and 2 batch under the NCORE – AF2. The main objective of the program is to support Eastern Nile cooperation by creating a knowledge community among young professionals to support the emergence of a shared understanding about the resource base – its potentials, the risks it is facing and its future. Other objective is also helping a new generation of potential water professionals and leaders to acquire new skills, develop new regional collaborations, and contribute multi-sectoral perspectives to enhance ENTRO’s knowledge and analytical services.
