In the late months of 2013 the Philippine islands were disastrously hit by typhoon Haiyan. Leaving well over 6,000 fatalities and a path of destruction throughout the country, the majority of the population had to restart their lives from scratch. As practically all sources of income were ruined, the less fortunate families had no way of purchasing the goods needed to rebuild their homes and they were left hopeless. The charity's main purpose was to raise funds to locally purchase corrugated G-I sheets and marine plywood which could then be donated to locals who needed them to rebuild their homes. Over the course of two months, the charity grew and was eventually able to provide enough money for five families to rebuild what was left of their homes, and slowly restart their lives.
