ASLM has four primary goals: a) building Africa’s laboratory medicine workforce to meet growing health priorities, b) strengthening the quality of laboratories across the continent, c) ensuring access to safe medical diagnostic products in Africa, and d) building laboratory networks for better disease detection and access to testing services. ASLM is headquartered in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, and serves all African countries. It is endorsed by the African Union.
